proud moment
So I have been anxiously waiting for Peyton to start speaking more than one word at a time. I had read that the “experts” say 2 word phrases start happening around 18 months and the pediatrician kept quizzing me about it at her 18 month checkup as if he were a little concerned. Well, 18 months came and went back in December and still no more than single words to tell us what she wanted. LOTS of words mind you, but only one at a time. This weekend though, Peyton decided to start spitting out complete sentences. “I get ball.” “I get apple.” “I go outside.” It’s the most adorable thing. Most sentences start with “I get….”, but I’m very impressed by all of it of course. You almost want to give her whatever she asks for, just because she said it in sentence form. Last night, I had a very proud moment due to her newly found language skills. I was walking into the bedroom. Peyton came running after me. “Mama! Mama!” “What baby?” “I get kiss! I get kiss!” I bent down, and sure enough, she gave me one of her sweet baby kisses. :-) Proud mama.
Adrienne’s first blog
Ok, so Marshall was kind enough to set up a blog for me. He made the first post last week to try it out. Now it’s my turn. I thought I would attach some pictures too. Marshall took these today. More silliness to come…

Peyton is kingella free!

Friday’s trip to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital marked the end of Peyton’s kingella infection. After a brief exam, the doctor said our little girl was finally well. No more antibiotics, no more IV’s…she is free!!
