It has been so so so so so long (did I mention sooooooo long?) since I blogged.  Bad Adrienne.  Sadly, I’m not sure how much has actually happened since August.  Birthdays, anniversary, Christmas (Peyton had a blast), Janice’s birthday (Peyton had a blast).  Peyton has grown like a weed.  It’s amazing how big she is, not only her height and appearance but the way she communicates too.  She’s definitely not a baby anymore.  We’re starting to potty train.  It’s going so-so.  She doesn’t pretty well, in spurts.  Lots of accidents this weekend and that upset her a bit.  But overall, I know it’s going fairly well.

Marshall bought me a diamond ring for Christmas 2009/Valentine’s Day 2010.  I was supposed to pick out a ring I wanted for Christmas, but I couldn’t find one worth buying.  So as Valentine’s Day approached, Marshall asked me if I wanted to look around again.  I finally found one that I really liked.  (I’ve got my eye on a ring with yellow diamonds in it too.  That might be a future purchase.)

Also, Peyton has taken to playing dress-up every single minute that we’ll let her.  She likes to wear multiple tutu’s and headbands at the same time.  Plus she has a vest with flowers on it that she thinks matches everything, including her tutu’s.  It’s quite the sight.  And she would do more if we would let her.  It’s a fight to get her to take everything off to go to the bathroom or eat dinner or take a nap.

I apologize that my blog hasn’t been updated as much as I intended lately.  Things have been a little out of sorts with our computers the last month or so.  We got a new laptop recently.  Soooo much faster than the last one.  AND Marshall actually built us a new desktop which I am using right now.  It’s really slick and definitely cheaper if you do it yourself.  But we don’t have all of our files and software onto this pc yet, so I haven’t posted pictures in a while.

So…..  things that have been going on…..  Peyton spent the week before last at my parents’ house, going to Vacation Bible School.  She had a blast.  Marshall and I worked and basically did a lot of sleeping.  Last week, daycare was closed.  Marshall kept her Monday (Daddy’s day), I kept her Tuesday (Mommy’s day), and Marshall’s parents and sister came and kept her at our house the rest of the week.  She seemed to enjoy all of it.  She got to go swimming at Averi’s house Tuesday.  (Somehow I got sunburned and she didn’t.  That’s a sad commentary about me mostly.)  Today was her first day back at daycare.  She was TIRED tonight.  She fussed a lot.  Even while she was watching Blues Clues (or “blue puppy in room” as she insists on calling it).  I felt bad for her.  And my sanity.  But mostly her.

Well, I’m off to bed.  Long day tomorrow.

So everyone is sick at our house this weekend.  My mom came to help yesterday morning, and we got her sick too.  Fortunately, she was able to help when we most needed it.  (Thanks Mom…..again.)  She took Peyton to the pediatrician yesterday afternoon for me while I went to my own doctor’s appointment.  Marshall has been sick since Wednesday, worse than both of us by far.  Peyton and I are on the mend I think, but he’s still struggling.  Hopefully, he gets better soon.  There are things that daddies just do better.
